This year the conference-school is organized for the 17th time already. It is very popular among PhD students and young researchers, working in the fields of condensed matter physics, chemistry and materials science.
17th International Conference-School “Advanced Materials and Technologies” for young researchers will invite the best scientists from USA, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Switzerland, Japan, Poland, France and Lithuania to give lectures for PhD students.
This conference is a significant international event and every year attracts participants from all over the world (in 2014, 62 participants out of total 138 were from abroad).
The event is organised not only by Lithuanian institutions (Kaunas University of Technology, Vilnius University, Centre for Physical Sciences and Technology), but also with the help and active involvement of scientists from Riga Technical University (Latvia), University of Latvia and Tartu University (Estonia).
The conference-school helps to educate common and technical competences of PhD students and to develop productive international collaboration.
“This conference is a great opportunity for young researchers to communicate with each other, hear about new research from the best professionals working in the fields of physics, chemistry and materials science”, says the chairman of the organising committee of the conference-school Prof Sigitas Tamulevičius.
